The state of the art leveling, steaming and compacting calendar for knitted fabrics in open-width
Very much depending on the requirements of the process flow, most of the knitted fabrics have to be processed in open-width form. The SANTACOMPACT CK represents the right mechanical device to ensure highest quality standards of the final product. Taking over from the previous step, like relaxed drying, the SANTACOMPACT CK achieves the lowest residual shrinkages through a controlled compressive shrinkage. At the same time it provides gentle appearance and soft handle and bulkiness to the fabric. One of the most important facts of the SANTACOMPACT CK is the construction philosophy: The fabric is guided in the most natural way possible to avoid elongation and to achieve maximal shrinkage values. This means that there are no unnecessary tensions, due to shortest steps starting from the depinning and direct inlet into the lower compacting unit, transferring tensionless into the upper compacting unit and subsequently ending at the upper part of the machine where it is cooled and after wards rolled or plaited.
There are the highlights of the continuous process with SANTACOMPACT CK:
the fully relaxed and dried fabric is led into the SANTACOMPACT CK through a spreading and centering system (E&L type)
vertical guidance through driven rollers to the selvedge uncurling device (E&L type) providing adjustable overfeeding prior to pinning
distortion-free transportation on a vertical stainless pin chain
width adjustable arms of the frame set the desired final width taking into account the influence of compacting
intensive steaming with condensate-free, steam area adjustable, corrosion-free steam box
gentle and torsion-free depinning and crease-free immediate insertion into the first compacting unit
compacting in two stages taking care to avoid tension between them, both compacting units are equipped with a specially designed elastic felt belt (exclusive sales agreement)
the fabric is calendered at the same time being led between the belt and the heated roller
the fabric tension is controlled by means of load cells assuring the synchronization of the motors at the speed set by the operator on the control panel
at the delivery side, the fabric is placed on a driven belt passing a cooling unit with an air suction system
the completely finished fabric can be rolled up, optionally passing over an inspection table, or plaited
touch screen control panel with recipe storage MP 370(Siemens) in different languages among others English and Chinese.
Optionals:
gumming, drying and trimming device with highly intensive IR and hot air drying system
additional dampening system at the inlet
manual or automatic weft straightener
